
North Carolina state troopers said that a 34-year-old Columbia, South Carolina woman sustained fatal personal injuries on the night of January 16 after her car was rear-ended on Interstate 95 in Johnston County.
Troopers said that Latonya Sabrina Boykin was a back seat passenger in a two-door Ford driven by her husband, Fernando Boykin, whose father was in the front passenger seat.
According to troopers, a Toyota Avalon driven by 60-year-old Greenville, N.C. resident Joseph Dorson White struck the Ford from behind near mile marker 97. White and his wife, Leszie White, received transport to Johnston Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
Latonya Boykin died from the injuries she suffered. Her husband and father-in-law received transport to WakeMed Hospital with minor injuries.
Further information about the crash was not immediately made available.
