One Dead And One Injured In N.C. 54 Crash
Police say a Durham woman died and a passenger sustained serious personal injuries in a single-vehicle crash on N.C. 54 on April 19.
The driver of the crashed 2001 Hyundai was identified by police as 38-year-old Durham resident Joanna Karolina Park.
The passenger in the Hyundai was identified as 27-year-old Durham resident Joseph Phelan. Police say he suffered serious injuries that were non-life-threatening and received transport to Duke Hospital.
Investigators say speed was a factor in the crash.
