New London Woman Killed by Vehicle
A New London woman was killed Tuesday by a vehicle when she was attempting to get water from a spring water access point on High Rock Road.
Bonnie D. Shaver, 60, had parked her 2009 Dodge off the road on the southbound shoulder. Shaver was standing on the shoulder of the road when Seth Thompson of Albermarle, driving a 2000 Volkswagon hit her.
The incident is being investigated.
