N.C. Man Dies In Florida Crash

A 65-year-old North Carolina man suffered fatal personal injuries on the morning of April 17 in a crash in Manatee County, Florida according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Raeford resident Roy Gay was pronounced dead at the scene after he lost control of the 2000 Lincoln Town Car he was driving. The car ran off the road around midnight and collided with a tree, the FHP said.

The accident report said that Gay was westbound on SR 700 when he lost control of the vehicle while rounding a curve. Troopers said he was not wearing his seat belt.
