6/18/2010After a grandmother and her 11-year-old granddaughter were killed in a Jamestown car accident, the North Carolina Highway Patrol and accident reconstruction experts are investigating the cause of the fatal crash.
The deadly North Carolina car accident occurred at the intersection of Business 85 at River Road, where a NC state trooper smashed into a car while pursuing a reckless driver. The North Carolina car accident left two people dead and seriously injured two children. The accident reconstruction team hopes to determine how fast the police officer was going and whether or not there was any hesitation at the intersection where the car crash took place. The family of the car accident victims watched on as the team took measurements and collected data – they say they want to know why the accident took place and how it could have been prevented.
Authorities are still searching for the speeding car that the officer was pursing at the time of the accident – the car is a blue Pontiac Grand Am.
