N.C. Couple Killed In Wyoming Motorcycle Crash

A couple from North Carolina suffered fatal personal injuries after a collision between their motorcycle and a car in northeastern Wyoming.

According to the Wyoming State Patrol, 61-year-old Thomas Church and 52-year-old Regina Church of Wilmington were southbound on U.S. 85 north of Lusk, Wyoming on June 30 when a northbound vehicle crossed the center line.

Authorities say it is unclear why the vehicle driven by 77-year-old Hawthorne, California resident Ingemann Aasness went into the other lane. They said when he attempted to cross back into the proper lane, his car struck the Churches’ motorcycle head-on. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Aasness received hospital transport and was released after undergoing treatment. His passenger, 73-year-old Cordelle Aasness, received air transport to the Wyoming Medical Center.
