NC 62 Site Of Deadly Two-Car Accident In Trinity
A serious NC car accident in Trinity occurred on Saturday, March 6, along NC 62. North Carolina Police say that the car crash took place when a car headed north on the highway attempted to turn left in front of an oncoming SUV headed south.The man riding in the passenger seat of the turning car, 68-year-old Taj Khan, of High Point, North Carolina, died after being rushed to High Point Regional Hospital by emergency responders. The driver of the car and Khan’s son, 31-year-old Amjad Khan was airlifted to Baptist Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
Even though all six people involved in the two-car Trinity crash was wearing a seatbelt, everyone suffered serious injuries in the accident. All four people traveling in the SUV were rushed by ambulance to High Point Regional Hospital with serious injuries. NC State Troopers are unsure of why the car turned in front of the SUV.
