Motorcycle Passenger Files Suit Against Driver For Deer Collision

A woman has filed a personal injury suit alleging that the driver of a motorcycle she was a passenger on collided with a deer, causing her injuries.

According to the suit she filed on January 9 in Madison County Circuit Court in Illinois, Stephanie Bonnell was a passenger on the Harley Davidson Sportster motorcycle operated by Scott F. Wild on May 29 when he collided with a deer.

Bonnell claims that the collision caused great bruising, crushing, and displacing to her neck, back, hips, and legs and prevented her from attending to her usual duties and affairs. She also claims to have lost large sums of money due to the medical costs she incurred.

The suit alleges negligence on the part of Wild for failure to reduce speed in order to avoid an accident, failure to maintain control of the vehicle, failure to maintain a proper lookout, and driving at an excessive speed.

Bonnell seeks damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs.
