Moped Driver Killed, Three Others Injured In Fayetteville Crash
According to police, one man died and three others sustained personal injuries when moped collided head-on with a Ford Taurus on Legion Road in Fayetteville on June 3.
The Taurus’ driver, 22-year-old Golden Bacot, received transport to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center to receive treatment for the minor injuries he suffered.
Police say two passengers in Bacot’s vehicle received hospital transport, but no information was available on their conditions.
According to police, the moped’s driver was found to be at fault for the collision. They say the two vehicles were traveling in opposite directions when the moped crossed the center line and collided with the Taurus.
The driver of the moped was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not released as next of kin has yet to be notified.
