Moped Driver Injured When Struck By Two Vehicles In Fayetteville
On the evening of March 29, a moped driver suffered personal injuries after being struck by two vehicles near the intersection of Ireland Drive and Martindale Drive.
According to Fayetteville police, the moped’s driver was struck by one vehicle and then struck again by a second vehicle – a sports utility vehicle.
A Fayetteville police watch commander said that the driver, whose name was not immediately made available, ended up underneath the SUV after the crash. The driver received ambulance transport to a nearby hospital for medical care.
Police say the driver of the first vehicle to hit the moped initially left the scene, but later returned.
