Mebane Man Killed After Being Struck By Car While Riding Bike
According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, a 23-year-old Mebane man died of the personal injuries he suffered on May 30 when he was hit by a vehicle.
According to telecommunications supervisor John Swinney, Ian E. Terrell was riding his bike on the east shoulder of Lebanon Road at approximately 2 p.m. when he swerved into the roadway and was hit by a vehicle. According to Orange County dispatchers, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Swinney said that he did not know the driver’s name and that the accident remains under investigation.
