A woman has filed a negligence suit against Gelco Corporation and one of its employees on behalf of a deceased man who suffered personal injuries in an automobile accident.
Brenda Doss, who is in charge of the Estate of Dallas Ray Blankenship, who died on January 12, filed suit in West Virginia’s Wayne Circuit Court on September 23.
The suit says that on September 24, 2007, the vehicle Gelco employee Benjamin Brabbin was driving collided with the rear of the vehicle Blankenship was driving, causing Blankenship to suffer injuries to various body parts.
Doss alleges negligence on the part of Brabbin for failure to maintain a proper lookout, following too closely, failure to maintain a safe and reasonable speed, and failure to properly maintain control of the vehicle.
The claims that Brabbin and Gelco’s negligence directly and proximately caused Blankenship to sustain permanent injuries, pain and suffering, mental anguish, annoyance, aggravation, and inconvenience and incur medical costs until the time of his death.
Doss seeks compensatory damages suffered by Blankenship.
