Man Seriously Injured In Beltline Crash
Authorities say they were finally able to reopen all lanes on the inner Beltline near Western Boulevard at around 11 a.m. after a single-vehicle crash several hours prior that caused a man to suffer personal injuries.
According to the accident report, 27-year-old Vernon Davis was driving along Interstate 440 in the right hand lane when his vehicle ran off the road. The report says that he then over-corrected, causing him to lose control. The vehicle then rolled several times.
Police say Davis was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.
Davis received emergency transport to WakeMed, where he was listed in critical condition, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
