Man Sentenced To 180 Days For Attack Involving Five Dogs
The owner of five dogs that inflicted personal injuries to a man walking down a sidewalk in Delaware, Ohio in an October attack pleaded guilty on April 4.
The dogs' owner, 34-year-old Virgil C. Mitchell, pleaded guilty to a charge of failure to confine, said the Delaware County Prosecutor's office. He was sentenced to 180 days in prison and will be released after 45 days on a work release program. Additionally, he was ordered to pay $380,000 in medical costs.
Three of the dogs involved in the attack have been euthanized. The other two were surrendered to the county in early March.
