Man Killed When Train Hits Car In Morrisville
On November 8, emergency crews responded to an accident in which a man suffered fatal personal injuries when his vehicle was struck by a train in Morrisville.
At approximately 2:30 p.m. on the day of the incident, a freight train on its way from Raleigh struck a vehicle at the crossing on Barbee road, according to Robert Chatham of Norfolk Southern, the railroad company involved.
A 53-year-old old man inside the vehicle was killed. None of the train’s occupants suffered injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
