Man Files Suit Against Driver, Employer After Collision

A man has filed a personal injury suit against Centerpoint Energy and one of its employees concerning a 2009 two-vehicle collision.

According to a suit filed by Timmie Clark on November 19 in Texas’ Galveston County District Court, William Werner, driving a pickup truck owned by Centerpoint, collided with his 2004 Hyundai Sonata on October 9, 2009.

The original petition says that Clark was heading east and Werner was heading south at the time of the crash.

Clark alleges negligence on the part of Werner for failure to yield the right of way and obey the traffic signal at the intersection. He alleges negligence on the part of Centerpoint for entrusting the vehicle to Werner and failure to provide proper safety training.
