Man Files Suit After Railing Collapse Causes Two-Story Fall
A personal injury suit has been filed by an Illinois man who allegedly fell 10 feet and landed on his back due to the porch railing he was leaning on at a Troy, Illinois residence collapsing on July 26.
Clay Stephenson has filed suit against the owners of the residence, Edward and Cynthia Fetter, on September 19 in Madison County, Illinois Circuit Court seeking damages in excess of $50,000.
According to Stephenson, he was a guest of the second floor tenant on the day of the accident. He alleges negligence on the part of the Fetters for their failure to keep the railing in proper condition in order to support people on the porch.
