A man has filed a personal injury suit against a woman over a crash in which she allegedly drove into his motorcycle’s path.
According to the suit filed by Kirby Baker in Illinois’ Madison County Circuit Court on March 9, he was southbound on a 2002 Harley Davidson when he was struck by a 1996 Pontiac Grand Am being driven out of a driveway by Marsha Hartman.
Baker claims the collision has caused a hindrance to attendance to his usual affairs, loss of time value, and physical and mental pain.
The suit alleges negligence on the part of Hartman for driving too fast, failure to maintain control of her vehicle, failure to maintain a proper lookout, failure to brake, failure to stop for imminent danger, and failure to yield the right-of-way.
Baker seeks damages in excess of $50,000.
