Man Claims Power Line Fell On Vehicle

A man has filed a personal injury suit against Entergy Texas, claiming that a power line fell on his vehicle, causing him to suffer severe injuries.

According to the suit filed in Texas’ Jefferson County District Court on April 1 by William Ross Duke, he had stopped his vehicle at a stop sign on July 2, 2007 when an Entergy line fell.

Duke claims the incident caused him to sustain physical pain and mental suffering, incur medical costs, and experience physical impairment, physical disfigurement, emotional distress, and lost enjoyment of life.

The suit alleges negligence on the part of Entergy for failure to properly maintain the power line, failure to properly secure the power line, and failure to properly service the power line.

Duke seeks damages in excess of the court’s minimal jurisdictional limit.
