Man Claims Lost Teeth In Fight

A man has filed a personal injury suit against two men and a woman alleging that he lost teeth during a fight.

According to the suit filed on March 6 in Illinois’ St. Clair County Circuit Court by Joshua Anderson, he was injured by at least one of six minors in a fight at a party on November 16, 2007.

Anderson claims that one of the defendants, Joshua M. Tipton, struck him while another defendant, minor Penelope R. Blaylock, hit him in the mouth with a beer bottle. He claims it caused him to severely bleed from the mouth and spit out teeth.

According to the suit, the third defendant, Chad A. Bijarro, provided the alcohol to the six minors attending the party, including Blaylock.

The suit claims that Bijarro providing alcohol to the other defendants was a proximate cause to Anderson suffering severe and permanent injuries, including lost teeth, cuts, bruises, severe pain, swelling, and other injuries.

Anderson seeks $50,000 and compensatory damages in excess of $150,000, plus costs and other relief, from the four-count suit.
