A man has filed suit against his former employer, claiming that he was fired one day after he suffered personal injuries to his back while working.
According to the suit Kenneth A. Chapman filed against Con-Way Freight and his supervisor, S. Daniel Harmon, in West Virginia’s Kanawha Circuit Court on May 4, he was hired as a driver and sales representative by the company in 2003.
Chapman claims that he sustained an injury to his back while working on April 13. He says the injury was determined to be compensable with the company’s workers’ compensation insurer.
However, Chapman claims that he was terminated on April 14 by Harmon, the company’s Belle terminal supervisor, despite Harmon and other managers being aware that he had suffered injuries while working the prior day.
Chapman seeks compensatory and punitive damages and reinstatement to an equivalent job within the company.Post a Comment to "Man Claims Employer Fired Him After Suffering Back Injury At Work"
