Man Claims Cement Mixer Chute Knocked Him From Wall
A man has filed a personal injury suit against a concrete supply company, alleging that he was knocked off a wall by the chute on a concrete-mixer truck.
According to the suit filed against Maryland-based Thomas, Bennett, and Hunter Inc. in West Virginia’s Berkeley Circuit Court on March 13 by Michael E. Markley Jr., he was standing along Grade Road in Falling Waters, West Virginia on April 2, 2007 as the truck was in operation nearby.
Markley claims that at some point during the work, the truck’s driver caused the chute that dispenses the concrete to strike him and knock him off of a wall.
Markley claims the accident caused him to suffer injuries, incur medical expenses of $13,000, and experience lost wages, pain and suffering, permanent disability and scarring, and diminished enjoyment of life.
Markley seeks damages of $75,000.
