Man Charged In Fatal Winston-Salem Crash
A 27-year-old man has been charged by authorities in connection to an automobile accident in Winston-Salem on January 19 in which one man suffered fatal personal injuries.
Police said that around 5 p.m. on January 21, Omar Joseph Daniel Scott turned himself in at the Forsyth County Magistrate’s Office, where he was criminally charged.
Scott was identified by investigators as the driver of a 2008 Jeep Patriot that struck pedestrian Stefan Jalen Fairfax, who was waiting for a city transit bus on the south side of North Cherry Street.
Fairfax received transport to Wake Forest Medical Center Emergency Department, where he was later pronounced dead.
