Man and Stepson Die In Accident
Man and Stepson Die In Accident
A man and his stepson were killed Sunday afternoon in Johnston County. According to a report, the driver just lost control of his vehicle.
The driver, Nathan J. Hudson and his stepson, Jared A. Johnson of Clayton were fatally injured in the incident, which occurred just west of Clayton.
Reports indicate that Nathan Hudson was driving a 2001 Mitsubishi east on Winston Rd. Hudson lost control of the vehicle, ran off the right side of the road, came back onto the road, then crossed the centerline and ran off the left side of the road, hitting a guardrail.
After hitting the guardrail, the vehicle bounced off and traveled straight into the path of a Chevrolet pickup traveling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the pickup, Cirilo Dela Luz-Medina of Clayton was injured as a result of the accident.
Neither speed nor alcohol was contributed to the wreck.
All three men were wearing seatbelts.
