Man Accused Of Allowing Dog To Attack Daughter

According to authorities, a man has been charged with causing his daughter personal injuries by attacking her and allowing his dog to bite her.

The Marion County, Florida Sheriff’s Office reported that 49-year-old Julian Maynard Saunders returned home on the night of February 6 after watching the Super Bowl and began to argue with his 19-year-old daughter. A report said that Saunders had his pit bull next to him as he was yelling obscenities at the teenager.

According to deputies, Saunders eventually grabbed his daughter by the face, slammed her into the wall, and took her to the ground as the dog began biting and scratching at her legs. When her mother attempted to intervene, she was bitten on the arm by the dog.

The women went to the hospital and called the authorities.

Police arrested Saunders on charges of felony domestic battery. He was being held without bail.

The dog was placed under home quarantine.
