Lumberton Man Fatally Struck On I-95
Police say a man from Lumberton suffered fatal personal injuries on July 18 when he was struck by a southbound vehicle on Interstate 95.
According to Lumberton police Lt. Danny Strickland, 23-year-old Luis Mauricio Crisostomo died at the scene after stepping in front of the vehicle.
Strickland said that the driver, 35-year-old Nashville resident Michael Devandre Grice, was traveling south in a 2006 Chevrolet when Crisostomo stepped into his vehicle’s path near Exit 19. He was unable to see Crisostomo until it was too late.
