Lawsuit Settled with Children of a Flight Nurse

A lawsuit has been settled on behalf of the two children of a flight nurse who was killed in a helicopter crash. Mrs. Sandra Pearson was killed along with the pilot and a paramedic when the rotor came off their Bell 206 Longranger before it crashed in a field outside of Burney, about 40 miles southeast of Indianapolis. The lawsuit was filed by the National Bank of Indianapolis on behalf of the nurse's two children

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) discovered that a flawed main rotor blade had shattered just after taking off.

The multi-million dollar settlement will be deposited into Pearson's children's trust accounts until they turn 18. Pearson had two children, Gabrielle, 8, and Garrett, 10.
