A woman from Angier suffered fatal personal injuries late on the night of May 26 when her sport utility vehicle ran off the road and collided with a tree, according to the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
The NCHP said that 26-year-old Rebecca Elizabeth Evans was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing her seat belt.
The accident report said that Evans was westbound on Mount Pleasant Road when the 2002 Isuzu she was driving ran off the road to the left a hit a tree.
The accident took place shortly before midnight just north of Angier in Johnston County.
