High School Girl Sues Boyfriend After Accident

A high school girl sustained a traumatic brain injury when her boyfriend made a left turn in front of an oncoming vehicle. Andrea Alatorre, the plaintiff was a passenger in her boyfriend, Jordan Ashlock’s vehicle. They were on their way to a school function when they were T-boned on the passenger’s side when Jordan attempted to make a left turn in front of oncoming traffic.

Because of the harsh impact, the plaintiff alleged the injuries such as internal injuries and fractures, as well physiological damages caused by a closed head injury. Andrea also alleged head trauma resulting in emotional distress, a sleep disorder and memory impairments.

The defendant did not dispute the physical nature of the plaintiff’s claims but believes that the emotional distress and cognitive deficits can be treated.

The case was settled for $800,000.
