Head-On Collision Outside Selma Kills Two
On the afternoon of December 14, two drivers died of the personal injuries they suffered in a crash outside Selma on N.C. 39 in Johnston County.
According to North Carolina Highway Patrol Sgt. K. Bell, 18-year-old Selma resident Nathan Cole and 42-year-old Burgaw resident Victoria Jordan were both killed instantly.
Bell said Cole’s vehicle crossed the center line and struck another vehicle before colliding head-on with Jordan’s vehicle.
The cause of the accident has yet to be determined. The crash took place on a straightaway and speed is not believed to have been a factor.
