Harnett County Wreck Injures Four

North Carolina state troopers cite alcohol as a factor in an automobile accident on June 19 in which four people suffered personal injuries in western Harnett County.

According to troopers, Sanford resident Joshua Bradford was eastbound on Mount Pisgah Church Road in Broadway when he ran a stop sign around 11:15 p.m. His vehicle struck a car that was northbound on MacArthur Road.

Troopers say the driver of the second vehicle, 35-year-old Broadway resident Joey Lee Scott sustained serious injuries in the crash. She received transport to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. Her 6-year-old son Scott, who was also in the vehicle, was unharmed.

Bradford’s passenger, 21-year-old Amanda Bird, received transport to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville and was later air transported to WakeMed in Raleigh. A second passenger, 28-year-old Sanford resident Jerome Uiltiaga, was taken to UNC Hospitals.

Bradford was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Troopers say that none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

Troopers say they will charge Bradford with a stop sign violation.
