Girl Bitten By Dog At Elementary School Playground
On June 17 a girl sustained personal injuries after being bitten by a dog at the playground of Lafayette Elementary School in Seattle, Washington. The attack temporarily sent the school into lockdown.Maintenance workers for the school district fought off the pit bull until they were able to get the child to safety. According to officials, she suffered a bite to her ankle, but was later able to return to school.
According to Ann Graves of Seattle Animal Control, officials believe that the dog got to the school by following students.
According to Graves, the dog had no identification tag or microchip to identify the owner.
