Garner Man Killed When Tree Crushes Vehicle
On August 18, a man from Garner died of the personal injuries he suffered when a tree fell and crushed the vehicle he was riding in on Old Stage Road in southern Wake County.
According to Trooper Eric L. Hunt of the North Carolina Highway Patrol, 21-year-old Dejuan Green was the front seat passenger in the vehicle driven by 32-year-old Raleigh resident John Wolff when the tree fell on the vehicle at approximately 2:45 p.m.
Wolff and 25-year-old Brandy Donovan, who was a backseat passenger in the vehicle, suffered injuries in the incident and received transport to WakeMed’s Raleigh campus, though their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, according to Hunt.
