Fourth Person Injured In Hope Mills Crash Dies

A fourth person who suffered personal injuries in a head-on collision between a Mustang and SUV in Hope Mills on December 10 has now died.

According to a hospital spokesperson, 32-year-old Brooke Paquin died at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. She was the passenger in the Mustang involved in the crash.

According to police, Paquin was the passenger of 26-year-old Webster, New York resident Tristan Hanna, who also died in the crash. Police said his car crossed the center line on Hope Mills Road and collided with an SUV carrying a family of three.

The SUV’s driver, Hien Truong and his 11-month-old child, Hanna, also died in the crash.

As of December 12, 26-year-old Huyen Truong was injured and remained in critical but stable condition at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

According to police, Tristan Hanna was a contract nurse at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. He and Paquin, his girlfriend, were in the process of moving to New York when the crash occurred.
