Four Oaks Man Killed In Harnett Crash

A man from Four Oaks suffered fatal personal injuries on the morning of April 13 in a crash when he lost control of his vehicle after a tire blew, the North Carolina Highway Patrol said.

The NCHP said 52-year-old Javier Flores Loredo died in the wreck, which took place around 7 a.m. near Dunn.

Loredo was southbound on Interstate 95 in a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe when a tire blew and the vehicle ran off the right side of the road, said Trooper J.B. Barbour.

Loredo overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle, which overturned and collided with a guardrail, coming to rest in the northbound lanes.

Loredo's brother, 50-year-old Coats resident Ricardo Flores Loredo, and another passenger, 41-year-old Four Oaks resident Dejesus Aualos-Machado received transport to Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital. Their injuries were not considered to be serious.
