Forsyth County Teen Injured In Crash Pronounced Dead

Nick Doub, a student at Reagan High School in Forsythe County who sustained serious personal injuries on January 6, was pronounced dead on the evening of January 9 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, according to a January 10 statement from Winston-Salem Forsyth County schools officials.

Doub, 18, was involved in a single-vehicle accident along Balsam Road. His vehicle slid on black ice that formed as temperatures fell after sunrise.

Another local student died in a crash that same day while heading to school. Jacob Turner was riding with his brother and cousin, who both survived the crash, when their vehicle crashed along Hodges Dairy Road near Mineral Springs Road in Caswell County.
