An Air Force servicewoman and former Fayetteville resident suffered fatal personal injuries in an automobile accident in Atlanta on Easter Sunday.
Atlanta police said that 21-year-old Airman 1st Class Danyal Kierra Westmoreland-Holley died after a tractor-trailer changing lanes struck the Nissan Sentra she and her newlywed husband, Eric Holley, were traveling in on Interstate 285.
Police said the truck was attempting to change lanes when it collided with the Sentra, causing Holley to lose control of the vehicle, which was struck by another truck and overturned, landing on its side.
The first truck's driver, 51-year-old Jack Parsons, was arrested on charges of second-degree vehicular homicide and improper lane change, police said.
