Fayetteville Woman Trapped In Vehicle, Injured In Crash
A woman from Fayetteville sustained personal injuries and became trapped inside her vehicle for approximately 45 minutes on the morning of October 26 after it collided with a tree on Tom Starling Road, according to the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
Trooper J.B. Jones said that 29-year-old Megan Juracek was eastbound about half a mile from the intersection of Tom Starling Road and U.S. 301 when she rounded a curve and lost control of the Chevrolet truck she was driving, which began to spin.
The driver’s side of the truck struck a tree, trapping Juracek inside. She received transport to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center after being extricated. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Jones said Juracek, who was wearing her seat belt, was cited for exceeding a safe speed for the conditions of rain.
