Fayetteville Man Says He Was Injured In Hit-And-Run While Jogging

Fayetteville police say that a man reported to them that he had suffered personal injuries from being struck by a vehicle while jogging on Cain Road near Scotty Hill Road on the morning of August 6.

Police did not immediately make the man’s name available.

According to a spokesman from the Fayetteville police, the accident occurred shortly after 6:30 a.m. when the jogger was struck by a vehicle that made a wide turn onto Cain road.

The man said that the driver of the vehicle that hit him did not stop. He received transport to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, according to the police spokesman.
