A Fayetteville man who suffered fatal personal injuries in an automobile accident on Camden Road in Hope Mills on March 22 has been identified by the North Carolina Highway Patrol as 47-year-old William Charles Davis.

Davis was pronounced dead after the single vehicle accident, which took place shortly after 3:30 a.m.

Davis was driving east on Camden Road around 1.8 miles west of Hope Mills when his vehicle crossed the center line and ran off the left side of the road. Davis overcorrected and the vehicle crossed the road, ran off the right side of the road, collided with several trees, and overturned, the Highway Patrol said.
