Police in Raleigh said that they arrested a Fayetteville man early on February 11 on his second charge of driving while impaired in the past two months after a crash in which two people suffered personal injuries.
Police said 22-year-old Brawleigh Alexander O’Ryan Graham was driving a 2011 Mercedes ML350 at about 2:45 a.m. when it ran off the right side of the road on Lassiter Mill Road. The Mercedes collided with a utility pole, tearing down power lines, and then struck a mailbox and tree. It then overturned, finally coming to rest in a front lawn.
Two passengers, 24-year-old Stephanie Mejia and 20-year-old Alexey Stepankov, sustained injuries in the crash. Stepankov was released from WakeMed after treatment. Mejia remained in the hospital in good condition.
Police charged Graham with DWI and failure to drive within a single lane of travel. They also said he was arrested for DWI on December 12.
According to the accident report, Graham was traveling at an approximate rate of 35 mph prior to and at the time of impact. The crash caused $5,000 worth of damage to the power pole and $60,000 worth of damage to the Mercedes.
