Fayetteville police said a 13-year-old girl suffered personal injuries on the afternoon of April 29 when she was struck by a vehicle on Raeford Road.

Police spokesman Lt. Chris Davis said the accident took place around 12:45 p.m. near the intersection with Hope Mills Road.

The girl, whose identity was not immediately made available, ran into the road and was struck by a vehicle. She reportedly sustained a broken leg and minor head injuries, Davis said. He said the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
