A 2-year-old girl was buried on August 10 after dying of the personal injuries she suffered in a July automobile accident. Police say the mother was at fault for the crash.
According to an obituary, 2-year-old Ayreon Guillory, whose parents were identified as Syreeta DeLasbour-Fultz and Avian Guillory, died on July 30.
The accident took place on July 27 on Country Club Drive in Fayetteville between Murchison and Rosehill roads. Fultz’s vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with a dump truck, according to Fayetteville police.
Ayreon and Fultz’s two sons, 8-year-old Isaiah and 6-year-old Jeremiah, were passengers in the vehicle. Police say both were injured in the accident. Their conditions have not been released because of a family confidentiality request.
Police say the dump truck’s driver, 49-year-old Linden resident William Frazze II, was unharmed.
There was heavy rain on the morning of the accident.
Police say Fultz underwent treatment at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill for broken bones and internal injuries and was then transferred to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for recovery. She has been charged with exceeding a safe speed for conditions and improper child restraint.
