Fatal Monorail Crash At Disney
Fatal Monorail Crash At Disney
Officials at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida are investigating a fatal accident that occurred Sunday.
Sunday's accident was the first fatal accident to occur in Disney’s 38-year history of the Monorail.
One of the trains operators was killed when one monorail crashed into another.
The other train’s operator was not physically injured, but visibly shaken. He was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated.
Numerous visitors at the park received minor injuries.
A spokesman for Disney, Michael Griffin identified the driver as Austin Wuennenberg.
