A Farm Fresh store in Granite City, Illinois has been sued by Granite City resident Doyle Miller after he allegedly sustained severe and permanent personal injuries by tripping over a floor mat.

Miller alleges negligence on the part of D&M Dairy Store and Cintas Corp., the corporate owners of the store, for allowing floor mats “not appropriate for the circumstances” to accumulate in the walkway of the premises, according to the suit he filed in the Circuit Court of Madison County, Illinois on July 28.

According to the complaint, because of the accident on September 10, 2006 Miller sustained “severe and permanent injuries” to bones, ligaments, muscles, nerves, and tissue in his left arm and shoulder. Miller seeks damages in excess of $100,000.
