Family Files Suit Against Neighbors Over Son's Dog Bite

The parents of a boy who sustained personal injuries when he was bitten by a dog have filed suit against their neighbor.

According to the suit Roger and Arlene Martin filed on May 14, five days after the incident, in Illinois’ Madison County Circuit Court, their son, Blake Martin, was riding his bike when he was attacked without provocation by a dog owned by Jerald and Debra Mosher on May 9.

The Martins, who live next door to the Moshers, claim their neighbors failed to cage, leash, or restrain the dog.

The suit claims the incident caused Blake Martin to sustain injuries and experience pain and suffering.

The Martins seek damages in excess of $50,000, plus damages for incurred medical expenses.
