Durham Woman Struck Multiple Times In Hit-And-Run

According to a July 14 statement from the North Carolina Highway Patrol, a woman from Durham was found lying on Club Boulevard with personal injuries from apparently being struck by multiple vehicles on the night of July 9.

Sgt. J.R. Creech said that none of the vehicles involved stopped after striking the woman, who was identified as 22-year-old Kara Clark.

Creech said that Clark received transport to a hospital in serious condition. Dispatchers received the call shortly after 10 p.m.

Durham police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said that Durham police officers were called to an abandoned vehicle that belonged to Clark on July 13. They discovered the vehicle shortly before noon where Troy Street hits a dead end.

The incident remains under investigation.
