Dunn Pedestrian Fatally Struck On I-95
On the night of May 10, a pedestrian from Dunn suffered fatal personal injuries when he was struck by a car on Interstate 95, according to the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
The report filed by Trooper B.A. Taylor said that 53-year-old James Nelson Jackson was walking in the southbound lanes of I-95 shortly before midnight when he was struck by a 2010 Mazda near Exit 72 for Pope Road.
The report identified the Mazda’s driver as 27-year-old Poughkeepsie, New York resident Gregory Joseph Spawn.
The report said that Jackson died at the scene.
