Dunn Man Seriously Injured In Sampson County Crash
A man from Dunn suffered serious personal injuries on March 15 when his car ran off a road in Sampson County and overturned multiple times.
According to a report filed by Trooper C.H. Strickland, the 19-year-old Nicholas Ryan Burgess was northbound on North Spring Branch Road at around 5 p.m. when his 1994 Honda ran off the road to the left, hit a ditch, rolled five times, and came to rest in the road.
The accident forced another resident, 52-year-old Langdon Norris, also of Dunn, off the road to the right. The Cadillac he was driving hit the curb of the parking lot of Spring Branch Baptist Church.
Burgess received air transport to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, where he was listed in stable condition the following day.
The report says Burgess will be cited for reckless driving.
