Dunn Man Killed In Crash Near Benson
Early on the morning of July 10, a man from Dunn suffered fatal personal injuries when the car he was driving ran off Woods Crossroad Road near Benson, reported the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
The NCHP said that 34-year-old Gregory Honeycutt was driving along Woods Crossroad Road early on the morning of the accident when his car slid off the road. Troopers were summoned to the scene shortly before 5 a.m.
According to the Highway Patrol, Honeycutt was traveling at a speed in excess of the posted speed limit of 55 mph and was not wearing his seat belt. The car overturned during the accident, ejecting him.
